Schematic representation of combined investigations of magnetic, vibrational and electronic properties of crystals synthesized at HP-HT conditions
(i) Simple oxides with variable stoichiometry that are of great interest for basic physical and chemical sciences;
(ii) Novel functional perovskites with unusual properties that may be synthesized only under high-pressure conditions;
(iii) Different oxide and chalcogenide materials that seem to be promising for various innovative technologies.
On the one hand, creation of novel materials at extreme HP-HT conditions often brings unexpected insights into the chemistry and physics of materials, thereby contributing to the fundamental sciences. On the other hand, an extraordinary combination of physical properties of some of those novel materials indicates their solid potential for the use in the future technologies.
